Choux pastry

You have seen the demonstration.

You have seen Raymond Blanc make them

You have even tasted them.

Now it is your turn.

 

 

I am tryng something TOTALLY NEW with you guys. This cooking session will cover 2 weeks. The first session we will be making the most exquisite choux buns. We will freeze these, then the following week... well that is a bit of a surprise :)

 

You will need For the first of the two session.

  • 50g butter

  • 60g flour

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 eggs

 

For the second of the tweo sessions you will need

  • 600 ml double or whipping cream

  • 200g chocolate, not dairy milk or galaxy, the oil content of these and most other milk chocolates will cause them to split go lumpy and make them unusuable, darker chocolate works better. I have success with asdas own value brand dark chocolate at 30p for 100g.

 

OPTIONAL (for the second of the sessions)

  • Vanilla extract

  • 1 orange

  • Hundreds & Thousands
